Disney x MAC Maleficent Mistress of Evil Get The Look
Who wouldn’t want to look like Angelina Joli? Well, now you can…kind of! You can look like Maleficent anyway at least, thanks to MAC who celebrate Disney’s most wickedly beautiful villain with everything you need to recreate her iconic look.
The new Maleficent: Mistress of Evil movie is out on October 18, a long-awaited sequel to the 2014 hit.
The classic Maleficent look is perfect for Halloween, and simple to achieve with just a few MAC products.
The bold and beautiful red lips come from Matte Lipstick in Russian Red (£17.50), with ultra-shiny Clear Lipglass (£16). Eyes wear deep purple Eyeshadow in Scene, smoky Eyeshadow in Print (both £15), In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Mascara (£20) and a #36 Lash (£12.50) set to build dramatic lashes. Powder Blush in Harmony (£19.50) emphasises the cheekbones. To supplement and enhance, the Maleficent collection also includes Studio Fix Sculpt and Shape Contour Palette, Studio Fix Fluid, Lip Pencils in Vino and Cherry, Pro Longwear Fluidline in Blacktrack, and Pro Longwear Concealer.
To play upon the co-existence of darkness and light in the film, artists from around the world have created how-to face charts inspired by Maleficent that show countless ways to interpret the Mistress of Evil’s trademark look. Regan Rabanal from APAC chose to highlight vivid green eyes, others deepened brows or added a vinyl shine to lips.

She said: “Maleficent is one of the most iconic Disney Villains of all time. People love the fact that she’s really just a good girl gone bad – a ferocious, refined fairy. What I love about my Maleficent-inspired look is that I really used the eye makeup look to communicate her characteristics.
“As a child, I was fascinated by her sage-coloured skin from the original Disney film which inspired me to create a stronger, dramatic eye using the Art Library Palette in It’s Designer. Really go for that deep-set crease she has and add a soaring arch to your eyebrow. What I love about Halloween is bringing characters to life, and I think Maleficent is a timeless choice!”
