Estee Lauder Perfectionist Launches
I do love an Estee Lauder product. There’s something about the brand. It’s one of the original beauty brands, and it’s probably one of the first I ever used. I was a big fan of Lucidity Face Powder back in the day, way before I was a beauty writer.
I love the smell of the Daywear products, and I’m fascinated by the family – imagine being part of that clan?! I also recently bought the 1980s unauthorised biography of Estee herself by disgraced writer Lee Israel who is the subject of the movie Can You Ever Forgive Me? starring Melissa McCarthy. The author has as fascinating a life story as Estee! And it’s a handy prop for a photo!
Anyway, back to the products. There are two new Perfectionist range products out this week. First up is Perfectionist Pro Rapid Brightening Treatment + Ferment2 Vitamin C (£63 30ml, £86 50ml).
This is an ultra-lightweight serum that will boost the skin’s natural radiance. Lauder say that after using just one bottle the look of dark spots, sun spots, age spots and blemish marks will all be significantly reduced. It’s been created and tested on all ethnicities and skin tones and has an innovative formula powered by an exclusive brightening complex, including two potent ferments and Vitamin C. There’s a yeast ferment and a molasses ferment, and hyaluronic acid is in there too. I am keen to use this bottle to the end to see if some of the dark spots I have are reduced.
The second new product is the Perfectionist Pro Multi-Defence Aqua UV Gel SPF50/PA++++8 Anti-Oxidants (£36) is an ultra-light gel that shields against UVA/UVB rays to fight against sun damage. It contains Tiger Lily extract, vitamins E and C, green tea and resveratrol to guard against pollution. It offers protection against all sorts of external aggressors that affect our skin like ozone and microdust – did you even think about these things?! The anti-oxidants in it ward off environmental damage and help works to prevent future visible signs of damage. The gel absorbs quickly thanks to the watery texture, and there is no stickiness at all. It locks in moisture and helps combat the dehydration caused by things like infra-red, air-con and heating.
