Korean Beauty Brand J.One launches in Boots

I’ve been all about the K-beauty of late, as more and more brands launch into the UK. Boots now stock Sephora’s best-seller J.One.

The J.One Jelly Pack sells four units EVERY MINUTE in South Korea. This hero product is joined in Boots by the J.One Black Jelly Pack, and the J.One Jelly Cream.

The J.One Jelly Pack White comes in 30ml (£20) and 50ml (£32). It’s a jelly that liquefies to deliver extreme hydration when applied to all skin types, thanks to fragmented hyaluronic acid. This penetrates deep into the skin layers – helping to minimise fine lines, and maximise elasticity. The formula also contains a powerful antioxidant called fullerene, which is a Nobel prize winning ingredient, no less.

There are collagen boosting peptides in there too. Apparently the formula is so powerful, the product is being called he ‘Corset Mask’. You can apply it to cleansed skin first thing in the morning, as a multitasking treatment, mask, and primer.

I’ve not tired this. I’m not sure i love the idea of anything that tightens my face – that’s the impression ‘Corset Mask’ gives, right?

The J.One Black Jelly Pack (£36, 50ml) is the nighttime version, but it can also be used in the morning. It contains seven powerful, antioxidant-rich black ingredients – black truffle, black pearl, black cumin seed, blackberry, blackcurrant, wine extract, and black bee propolis – whatever that is!

It promises to hydrate, even the complexion, plump skin, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Men and women can use it, and it has no parabens, sulphates, or phthalates.

Fullerene is in there too, as well as collagen boosting peptides, and Nymphea Alba Flower Extract, known to brighten and smooth the skin.

The trio is completed by the Jelly Cream (£32, 30ml) an ultra-lightweight, anti-ageing light cream that creates a moisture barrier, to deeply hydrate the skin. Fullerene is in there again, as well as natural citrus, olive oil and eucalyptus leaf oils and extracts.

I find the ‘jelly’ formula quite odd to work with. I don’t mind using the Black Jelly at night, but I struggle with it in the morning.

J.One products are available now at Boots stores and boots.com
