Get Insta-ready with Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Filter Collection
Hands up who doesn’t love a filter on a photo pre Insta-posting? I don’t believe you! We all do it, well, I know I do! But maybe we’d need less filtering if we were using products from Charlotte Tilbury’s Beauty Filter Collection?
She’s not daft that Charlotte, tapping right in to the zeitgeist with a couple of new products that will make you insta-ready before you decide whether Clarendon or Lark shows you off in a better light!
Pretty Youth Glow Filter (£30) comes in two shades – Seduce Blush, a dolly pink, and Pretty Fresh, a coral cream. It’s a cream to powder blush and highlighter duo in designed to give you a youthful complexion – just like those filters do!
Two shades help create a smoother skin, with that blurred look, thanks to a unique applicator – which you buy separately – design to deposit glow and blush where you need it on your cheekbones. (I seem to remember Benefit having a stick prodcut that did this a few years back). Rubbery waxes in the product help to give structure and a ‘first touch’ rubbery texture to the product, and other ingredients allow for a perfectly blendable application , and a dry to the touch feeling. Vibrant pigments in the duos add intense and brilliant colour to the formula.
So, to apply, you need the new Cheek Hug Brush (£15) and you hold it horizontally and sweep it across the two shades in the palette. Then, apply upwards and outwards from the apples of your cheeks. The way you hold the brush will allow for flawless application of both the cream blush and highlighter to the perfect spots of your cheeks.
It sounds simple, but there is an art to getting this right, and I always want to add a wee bit more highlighter – just in case!
Next up, the Collagen Lip Bath (£25) in Refresh Rose. This clear lip gloss is enriched with skincare ingredients to create plumper-looking lips. It’s a high-shine gloss, and has a love heart shaped applicator, which is very cute, and actually great for application – who knew?!
Lip plumping mustard sprout extract helps to hydrate and enhance lip volume, defining the contours of your lips and creating a fuller, firmer-looking appearance, and marine collagen moisturises and creates a plumping effect by hydrating your lips and giving the appearance of smoothing out lines.
Coconut oil nourishes and softens your lips, whilst pearlescent pigments create a milky pink sheen that reflects the light to make lips look fuller and wider, and peppermint extract gives your lips a cool, fresh feeling.
You can outline your lips and fill them in with lip pencil, then apply the gloss over your lips, to enhance your natural lip plumpness, and give you that insta pout without the injections on this occasion!
