New masks from GLAMGLOW

GLAMGLOW is a fun beauty brand. That’s not to say the products don’t work, of course, but fun is a big part of this brand – and they are brilliantly instagram friendly.

I’ve had the pleasure of trying two of their latest releases this last week – the #GLITTERMASK which is essentially the GravityMud Firming Treatment mask, just with loads of glitter. And why not? The glitter particles are suspended in the gel formula, and they won’t clog pores. You paint it on, let it dry and then peel it off – after you’ve taken a #selfie, of course! The mask is firming, lifting, tightening and toning.

The ingredients that make these things happen include complexes with brilliantly ridiculous GLAMGLOW style names.

So, we’ve got VIZITIGHT – with Firming Matrix + Marine Algae Plasma + BioDefine Polymers to provide instantly tighter feeling skin. LUNARLIFT is boosted with Soy Isoflavone Liposome & Red Algae Extract to help skin feel tighter and more toned. COSMIPLEXION with Icelandic Kelp, Hyaluronic Acid & Mineral-Rich Glacial Clay will help skin feel younger and more resilient, and finally, TEAOXI® Complex with Marshmallow + Licorice Leaf to help skin look and feel firmer.

It’s quite easy to use, but drying time will vary. With me, it took around 50 minutes to dry. You don’t need a lot to sparkle, and the average drying time is about 20-30 minutes, but for the perfect selfie, GLAMGLOW suggest 30-45 minutes – and it won’t do your skin any harm!

Once dry, peel off, and if it is fully dry, it will peel off relatively easily. Your skin will feel good, as it does after any mask, and there is a tightness to it too. I have to say though, unless you are going to take selfies, I don’t see why you would use this mask, as opposed to the original GravityMud. It’s a real fun product rather than an essential.

This one is fun. It’s a Black Bamboo sheet mask which removes a full face of makeup – not eyes and lips, obviously – and leaves skin feeling tingly clean. Made in Korea, it’s infused with charcoal, as well as a microbubbling cleanser, and the Green Tea TEAOXI technology, and Amino Acid L-Arginine.

Again, it’s pure beauty theatre, and whilst it’s fun, it smells lovely and fresh, and it does lift off face makeup, I’m not sure I’d be using it too often. You just leave this one on for three minutes, but massage the cleanser into the skin using the sheet mask to exfoliate and get rid of that makeup.  When you take the mask off, the cleansing foam is left on your face, and you massage it it, and then rinse off with water. My skin felt a bit tight after this one, I am not going to lie, and it is a bit of a mess, but who doesn’t love a sheet mask now and then?
