Victoria Beckham’s latest collection for Estee Lauder launched this month – and it’s now available in Scotland. You’ll find it in House of Fraser in Glasgow, and Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh.
If you haven’t seen the VBxEL products before, then they’re worth having a look at. As expected the packaging is stylish, the whole thing is very VB, and this AW17 collection is lovely.
It’s been broken down into looks here – for Victoria’s catwalk shows, and shows the wide range, and versatility of the products.
You don’t need to buy into the whole thing though – that might be a wee bit much. I’ve only seen two of the products – the lovely Eye Palette (£60), and the Eye Kajal Duo (£30).
I have to say that £30 seems pretty steep for a dual-ended eye pencil, but this is a ‘designer’ range, and this is a lovely product. The texture is soft and creamy, and one swipe gives great pigment. Use the Vanille end to line the inner lid, and for night use the darker shades – the one I have is Black Saffron/Vanille – the other shades are Java and Saphir, both with a Vanille end.
The new Eye Palette is four shadows with an innovative pressed gel-cream formula which will help create a smoky eye, with a sexy, smudgy wash of color in gorgeous autumnal tones of grey and Bordeaux. The palette contains Blanc, a white shimmer, Noir, a black matte, Gris, a gray matte, and Bordeaux, a Bordeaux wine shimmer.
This palette features in the London AW17 look – team that eye with a neutral lip. Add more shimmer with the Eye Ink (£36) and Eye Metals Eyeshadow (£36).
The Miami look features the Eye Matte Duo (£48)
in Bleu Électrique / Nude
– a bright blue is paired with soft camel for a dramatic look, reminiscent of Miami’s Art Deco architecture.
The NYC look features the new Lip Glosses (£28), and that Eye Kajal Duo.
The LA look features Bronzer (£52)
from the new collection, which has an on-trend matte finish, and the new Aura Gloss (£30)
, which is a new way to highlight. It’s high-shine illumination for the face or lips, with subtle light-reflecting golden pearls. Apply to lips, cheek bones, or bridge of the nose for glossy spotlights.
The Paris look features beautiful deep berry lips, with the new Matte Lipstick (£38) in Black Cassis. Gorgeous winter alternative to red.
All in all, it’s a lovely range – the price points are high, but if you want to treat yourself, or give a luxury gift to a beauty – or Victoria Beckham – fan, then it’s perfect.
The Signature collection features Victoria’s go-to beauty products. Her Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (£72) is the perfect pick-me-up, the Skin Perfecting Powder (£62) is housed in a beautiful compact. Add the Eye Ink Mascara in Blackest (£36), and a slick of that Aura Gloss in Honey.
