Urban Decay launch Vice Lipstick

Urban Decay have more lipsticks that you will ever need! The newly relaunched Vice Lipstick comes in 100 shades. Yes, that’s ONE HUNDRED! How can we ever choose just one? At £15 a pop, maybe we can stretch to two?!

Gorgeous Ruby Rose looks stunning in Metallized Big Bang, but which would you choose?

Urban Decay’s shade range has it all: bold brights, dark, sexy shades, versatile neutrals. And there are six finishes of lisptick to choose from. There’s mega-matte, comfort matte, cream, metallized, sheer and sheer shimmer.

Cream is the original formula, creamy and rich, moisturising, and pigment heavy. It’s Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System which gives the formula its creamy texture, and a rich payout of colour. A rich butter blend comforts, hydrates and enhances, so your lips are never dry. Aloe, vera, jojoba, avocado and babassu oils nourish the lips. Illipe butter (derived from Malaysion illipe trees) provides long-lasting moisture. And then there’s Vitamin C and Vitamin E for a hit of antioxidants.

The mega matte formula is an amazing matte – but it’s not drying, trust me! Comfort matte is matte, but a wee bit creamier. Metallized is creamy with a high level of shimmery pearl. Sheer, obviously is sheer, with a punch of colour, and Sheer Shimmer has a floating pearl through it.

The new packaging is a modernized, ‘luxed-up’ version of their original lipstick case, which looked like a shotgun shell. The faceted gunetal case has a gold base and debossed lettering, and the lipstick bullets are embossed ‘UD’.

I have had a look at five of the new shades, and my absolute favourite listick shade EVER, has to be the 714 Mega Matte Red. I cannot praise this highly enough. I first used it in the Gwen Stefani collection, and am thrilled it is part of the Vice collection now.

The shades pictured are, from left to right, Backtalk (comfort matte), Big Bang (metallized), 714 (mega matte), Pandemonium (mega matte), Firebird (cream).
