Illamasqua's Hypnotica Collection is Fun!
Makeup should be fun, right? Essentially, we’re creating art on our faces – they are called makeup ARTISTS after all. Therefore, I am absolutely in LOVE with Illamasqua’s new collection, Hypnotica, and in particular their brilliant Sketch Sticks.
These fabulous big crayons of makeup are like sophisticated, grown-up body paints. The whole collection is about colour, creativity and self-expression, and these sticks are at the heart of it.
The collection celebrates the festival spirit, whether its full body paint Woodstock craziness, or a Coachella princess basking in the sunshine. The idea is to be bold, be creative and have fun.
The Sketch Sticks (£15) are multi-use crayons with powerful pigment pay-off. You can get creative with colour with these beauties, and the creamy texture makes blending super-easy. There are seven fabulous shades – Fly (hot pink), Free (cornflower blue), Trace (bright orange), Higher (bright yellow), Spirit (pure white), Haze (jet black) and Trip (acid green).
You can go mad with these, or just use them to add bold accents of colour wherever you like.
The rest of the collection includes Lava Lips Lipstick (£19.50), a colour intense, marbled lipstick designed with a unique recipe, developed from their highly pigmented Lipstick shades. Carefully matched, these colour duos effortlessly blend together – this one is Activist, a deep purple and blue.
Lip Lure (£19.50) is a long-lasting,colour intense liquid lipstick with a glossy finish, and the shade for this collection is Pow, a bright bold pink.
Add some handmade and cruelty free Dolly Lashes (£11) to your look, for subtle volume and length – apply to the lower lash line for flirty, fun enhancement.
Finally, Slick Stick (£18.50),a colour intense, retractable lip crayon that creates long-lasting definition. It’s water-resistant and once set, doesn’t shift! The shade here is Dream, a nude brown.
