Clarins Urban Oasis in Edinburgh

If you are in Edinburgh this week and this Easter weekend, then escape to the Clarins Urban Oasis at the bottom of Castle Street, at the west end of Princes Street, for a pamper.

It’s a brilliant innovation from Clarins, marketing at its very best. I spent around 40 minutes there this week, and it was a lovely vibe, a great place to escape and have some of that much-talked about ‘me-time’. The Clarins hashtag is #ItsAllAboutYou, and for the time you spend here, it definitely is.

It’s not a retail area, you can’t buy any products here. You will pay for mini taster treatments (worth every penny), and you can pick up loads of lovely samples, and money off vouchers.

I had a 15-minute neck and scalp massage with the lovely Megan, and it was heavenly. Despite being just 15 minutes, I was transported away, far away from the hubub, and my knotty neck felt the benefit!

So, how does it work?

You take your map upon arrival at the Urban Oasis and journey with Clarins through four different zones, activating each of your senses through touch, play and sound before finishing with a real time face projection in our face mapping pod to bring to life the effects a busy lifestyle can have on your skin every day.

Visit each zone,  collect a stamp, and then receive your bespoke collection of Clarins samples.

In the Skin Care Zone you can find the perfect skin care regime for you through a sensory exploration of natural ingredients. The Treatment Zone is where you will experience a taster treatment at the  BeautyBAR by Clarins, for £10. Choose from SOS Facial, Skin Care Workout, Get Glowing or Knot a Problem.

Then there’s the Chill Out Zone, where there are different talks and tip-sharing sessions hosted each day. Learn how to ‘make an appointment with yourself’ or how to maximise the benefits of your beauty regime with Clarins Experts.

Finally, the Interactive Face Mapping – Clarins will be the first brand to show you a day in the life of your skin with a real time face projection that will showcase just what life and the environment throws at your skin. You will leave with a beautiful polaroid of your experience.

Also, tonight (March 23) you can hear from beauty bloggers, Lily Pebbles and Anna Gardner who are giving a talk – their event is £15 and includes champagne, canapes, and a fabulous goodie bag.
