Estee Lauder New Dimension Transformative Collection

It’s ALL about contouring at the moment in beauty. Those saggy jowels are being dealt with! After Clinique’s new range, and Temple’s Spa’s The Contourist mask, comes Estee Lauder’s New Dimension Transformative Collection.

That’s not the snappiest name in the world, but it does promise to allow women to transform and define their appearance in a completely new way.Estee Lauder New Dimension Shape + Fill Serum

There are four products in this new range, two skincare, and two make up kits, working on helping transform the contours of the face, and work on them to help create that structure we seem to be craving these days. (thank you, Kardashians for that one).

So, the New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum (£30ml £62, 50ml, £88) promises to help improve both visible volume and structure, hence the ‘shape and fill’ part. You apply this all over your face, concentrating, I would say, on the cheeks and jaw area, under our regular moisturiser.

But, for me, the most interesting part of this new range is the New Dimension Expert Liquid Tape (£46). I have tried this, and I am not entirely sure what I am meant to feel from it, but I really do LOVE the idea. It’s like facelift tape in a tube! It’s also a product you have to use correctly to see any benefit from it, and it is a wee bit complicated!

It comes in a tube with a built in squidgy silicone like applicator, and an on and off setting. You use it twice a day, on clean, dry skin – so before any other products at all – that is VERY important!

Twist to ‘on’, squeeze up a small, half-pea sized drop, and then twist to ‘off’ so no more comes our accidentally. Then you apply it.

You apply it from the outer browbone, out and up towards the temples, and hold briefly, then from upper cheekbones, up towards temples and hold briefly, then from corner of mouth, sweep up , under cheekbones, and hold briefly. Apply anywhere else you feel like you need a tightening sensation, then let it dry for about two minutes.

Afterwards, you have to gently pat on any other products or make up, so you don’t ‘break’ the delicate Liquid Tape. Yes, this is a bit bonkers, but I love the beauty companies for constantly pushing the bar, and coming up with new products like this!

The New Dimension Shape + Scuplt Face Kit (£34) is a highlight and contour palette, pretty self-explanatory, that one. The New Dimension Shape + Sculpt Eye Kit (£30) is more interesting – a smoothing base, a highlighter and a contour for eyes, in cream and pwoder formulas, to give definition to eyes. You can wear alone, or apply under eyeshadow.

Obviously contouring is here to stay for now, but now actually lifting those areas of the face, as well as just making them up, is key to this trend. Look good from any angle, so use the hashtag #BestAngle if you’re joining in the social media chat.
