Creme de la Mer's Blue Heart

This is one for the hardcore Creme de la Mer fans – their annual charity collector’s pot. If you have £300 and you want a pot of your favourite face cream, and to help celebrate World Ocean Day (today, June 8) and Creme’s ongoing commitment to the ocean, though their Blue Heart philanthropic mission, then here’s this year’s pot.

An incredible 95% of the world’s ocean is still unexplored. It really is, as Creme say, the mysterious ‘blue heart’ of the planet, and is a vital life force for Earth.

Of course, Creme de la Mer has the sea at the heart of its products, so it wasn’t a surprise that this became their philanthropic mission.

Creme de la Mer donate to the UK charity BLUE (Blue Marine Foundation), which exists to fix the largest solvable environmental problem on the planet – the crisis in the oceans. To date the charity has been instrumental in creating the two largest marine protected areas in the world in the last five years – the Chagos Archipelago and the Pitcairn Islands.

Creme de la Mer has donated over $2.6 million since 2008 to help promote ocean conservation efforts globally.
