Boots No7 Summer Collection

2 min read

Summer Collections are coming out thick and fast now, as we wait for the weather to at least pretend it’s summer for a full day or two! Boots No7 Summer Collection isn’t hugely exciting, I have to admit, but it’s very wearable, and if you like muted tones, you will love it.

It blends a few bright pops of colour with dusky pinks and plums, but it’s just a little bit ‘meh’ for my liking.  It’s not big – just a few nail polishes, an eye trio, and some nail colours.

So, let’s have a wee look at it in more detail, and you can make up your own mind! It arrived on counters last week. There’s a new No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in Petal (£9) which adds moisture as well as colour. Lip crayons are brilliant for summer. This one is a nice, pretty pink shade.

Nails aren’t as high-priority in the beauty world as they have been in previous years. I think perhaps we have seen everything we can do with a nail polish, and now we’re just back to basics. Gel manicures are huge, but if you prefer to just paint your own nails, and change the colour up, then these No7 Gel-Look Shine polishes (£7 each) are as shiny as you can get. Grapefruit is a pretty coral pink, great for summer, whilst cornflower blue Bluebell is a modern blue. For a bit of summertime glamor with a tan, there’s Rose Gold.

The No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow Trio in Tea Party (£9.50) consists of mauve-grey, dusky pink and deep plum shades – for me, it’s a wee bit boring, but the colours can be built on for more drama on the eyes in the evening.
For best results, follow No7 Advisor, Samantha Greaves’s tips.

Apply the mauve-grey shade all over the base of your eyelids, and blend in the dusty pink on top to create a gorgeous girly shimmer,” says Samantha. “Touch up your look in the evening, by blending in the deep plum into the contours of your eyes, building up for a more dramatic look.”

What do you think? Do you love it, or are you a bit underwhelmed too?
The NEW No7 Summer Collection is available exclusively in Boots and on now.
