Skin Sapiens is the latest sustainable skincare brand to land in my inbox. These independent brands are popping up more and more, and this one is really simple, stylish and superbly packaged.

It’s also certified natural and 100 per cent vegan. The brand believes in total transparency from ingredients to packaging, so every ingredient, and where it has come from is listed clearly, in simple terms, which is brilliant, really and something some brands need to be better at.

The Skin Sapiens ethos is to get rid of the unnecessary and have fewer ingredients in products – helping your skin and the environment. The brand is also proud to be part of the 1% for the planet – a global movement committing one per cent of every sale to charities fighting climate change.

The ingredients are tested on real people, and the brand uses COSMOS approved natural ingredients from sustainable sources,m and as much recycled packaging as they can. The products are suitable for all genders, all ages and skin types, including sensitive. They’re fragrance-free, which I know is great, but also isn’t for me.

There are two types of product – body, and face. The body products are branded baby but are for everyone. There’s a Baby Balm, a Baby Bath Gel, and a Baby Lotion. The Face products are a Face Cream, Cleansing Gel, and Lip Balm. The prices range from £7 to £14.
