Clarins launch Plant Gold

Clarins has launched yet another pretty innovative product with Plant Gold. This new product fits into the Clarins Aromaphytocare range – more on that later – and is a facial oil, with a difference.

It’s absolutely perfect if you haven’t used a facial oil or you are a bit wary of it. Clarins is the king of facial oil brands, with its iconic three facial oils – Blue Orchid, Santal, and Lotus.

The Clarins Plant Gold Nutri-revitalizing oil-emulsion, to give it its full name – is the first oil-emulsion from Clarins which combines the iconic Blue Orchid Treatment Oil  – the one for hydration that generally suits all skin types – with a 100 per cent natural origin melting emulsion which blend together on application to create a lightweight, non-oily texture with a natural aromatic fragrance.

It’s another ingenious double bottle from Clarins, inspired by the Clarins Institute beauty therapists who blend oils with other Clarins products to create bespoke skincare blends. This bottle has two chambers – the oil in one, the emulsion in the other, and the perfect quantities come out for each application. the art of blending boosts the effectiveness of the products.

This is the latest product in the Aromaphytocare range, which was a unique concept created by Jacques Courtin-Clarins over 60 years ago.  It’s the synergy of aromatic essential oils and beneficial plant extracts. It can be broken down into three parts:

Aroma – the fragrant and stimulating power of essential oils

Phyto – the beneficial properties of plant extracts

Care – effective skincare and 100 per cent wellbeing

The range includes those iconic Face Treatment Oils, Body Treatment Oils and Body Care which all combine the fragrant and stimulating power of essential oils with the beneficial properties of plant extracts.

Plant Gold launched in John Lewis stores earlier this year, and online at but is available nationwide from January 5 2020, £48.
