Benefit launch two new Hello Happy Foundations

A year after the original Hello Happy foundation launch, Benefit has added two new foundations to the line. Both will launch this Friday and are are very different.

The Hello Happy Velvet Powder Foundation has a natural-matte finish, and is dual-coverage – so you can choose the level of coverage you have, by how you apply it.

The cute compact contains the foundation, and a brush and sponge. Use the brush if you want light coverage, or just to use over liquid foundation to set it. Use the sponge if you prefer a medium/full coverage with this product.

The foundation contains shea butter extracts for a smooth feel – important with a powder foundation. It comes in 12 shades, which is good, and it promises to last for 12 hours.

The Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation is for luminosity, so this one gets a huge thumbs-up from me. I love a luminous base. It contains photochromic pigments that adapt to brighten skin in any lighting, which sounds good! There are Flower Acids in there to boost radiance, and Hyaluronic Acid for that all-important hydration.

It also has 12 hours of wear promised, and this finish is described as natural-satin. It’s a bit like the paint I am using in my house renovation – some matte, some satin!

This comes in 12 shades as well – there are three light shades, five medium, and four deep.

Both new foundations are £26, and available from June 21, at Benefit locations and benefitcosmetics.com
