New Origins Dr Andrew Weil Mega Mushroom additions

Origins has partnered with Dr Andrew Weil for years now on the Mega-Mushroom line, and here are two new products in the range for 2019.

First up the Dr Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Sheet Mask. Who doesn’t love a sheet mask? This one is made from the pulp of trees, including eucalyptus and spruce, and contains a freshly activated, lightweight gtreatment which is alcholo-free, and hydrates skin on impact. The formula will rapidly restore resilience by reducing visible redness.

The mask has a unique dual-chamber delivery system that separately houses mask and formula, until you activaste it before use. To do that, you pop the chamber, flooding the mask with the treatment. Then take it out, apply it to your face, and let it do its magic. It says three minutes, but I would want to leave it on longer!

It smells delicious, thanks to an essential oil blend of olibanum, certified organic geranium, orange, mandarin, patchouli and lavender.

So,what is in the Mega-Mushroom Blend? There’s Fermented Chaga, a powderful anti-irritant, belived to have  life-extendinf powers in Russia.

Reishi, known as the symbol of longevity and called the ‘Mushroom of immortality; which also has powerful anti-irritant properties that will help calm the skin. It’s been used for over 2000 years in traditional Chinese medicine.

Cordyceps is also from Chinese medicine, and traditional Tibetan medicine, to address fatigue. Finally, Coprinus, also to help keep skin looking calm and resilient.

Sea Buckthorn is also in there – an antioxidant-rich berry from China, that is another anti-irritant.

The new Mega Mushroom Relief & Resilience Hydra Burst Gel Lotion also has the Mega-Mushroom Blend, and the Sea Buckthorn. (Which, incidentally, was used by Genghis Khan n the 13th Century to strengthen his soldiers to defend against his enemies – who knew?!)

This is Origins’ first ever soothing gel-to-water lotion and it works to hydrate, calm and build skin’s visible resilience. The oil-free, gel-to-water releasing emulsion is packed with all of those Chaga mushroom-infused droplets, to instantly refresh the skin.

You can use this AM and PM, and I am not sute if I would replace my moituriser with it at this stage, but it does feel great on the skin, and if you love the Mega-Mushroom range, this is a great addition.
