Bobbi Brown Ultra-Violet and Infra-Red Eye Palettes

2 min read

Bobbi Brown has always been famous for its palettes – I have a really old one somewhere, the one you clicked the individual shadows into. Do they even do those any more?!

The latest two eye palettes are, in my mind, a bit of a change for the brand – bigger, with more colours, and more like a lot of other palettes out there that beauty bloggers and wannabe MUAs just seem to love.

These two are pretty simple – one is Ultra-Violet, and the other is Infra-Red.

The Ultra-Violet palette has eyeshadows from a spectrum of purple tones, ranging from translucent to smokey. The colours, say Bobbi, ‘embody the cosmic energy and provocative nature of the internationally recognised shade of purple’.

The shade range in the palette inspires creativity to define, or re-define, your own individuality and style, the brand believes. Purple is, apparently, the new nude.

The shades in this palette are White Noise, Strange Magic Chrome Metal, Higher Ground, Electric Plum Metallic, Violet Hour Chrome Metal, High Fidelity Shimmer Wash, Twisted Violet Sparkle, and Black Charcoal.

You can create something as simple as a one shade wash of colour, or a more complex smokey eye with this lovely array of shades.

The Infra-Red palette is a mix of smouldering heat, and dazzling light. It embodies a ‘fervent vitality and bold exuberance of colour‘, say Bobbi Brown. Mix and match the shades – which range from amber to bronze, to browns and taupes – to create a fiery look that will last through the sumer nights.

The shades in this one are Stone Cold, Red Rock, Behind the Sun Metallic, Infra-Red Chrome Metal, Slow Burn Sparkle, Fever Dream Chrome Metal, Interstellar Chrome Metal, and Solar Flame.

Both eight-shadow palettes are actually a really great buy, as the Bobbi eyeshadows are a great quality and give fab coverage.

Bobbi Brown Ultra-Violet and Infra-Red Eye Palettes, £36.50 each, available now, from Bobbi locations and bobbi brown.co.uk
