Guerlain's Christmas Cosmic Beauty
If, like me, you love all things retro and vintage then you are going to adore one part of Guerlain’s 2018 Cosmic Christmas Collection more than the rest.
The Ladies In All Climates compact is adorable! It’s a re-edition of a cult travel-size powder created in 1897! It has a fine texture which events out and mattifies theskin with a sheer finish.
It sets makeup and illuminates your skin with a natural glow. Not that I would want to use it – it’s just too lovely! This is of course, a limited edition, and it is a whopping £129!
The rest of the collection is just festive perfection with a vintage twist – gold eyelids, bright red lips, gorgeous glowing skin.
There is a lovely limited edition textured gold leather version of the Rouge G lipstick double-mirror case (£24.50), and three new shades – frosted pale pink, sparkling ruby and golden brown.(£14.50 for the lipstick).
There are two new Limited Edition shades of KissKiss and KissKiss Matte (£28) – Electric Gold, and Matte Electric Ruby respectively. Wear alone, or as a twin-set for an ombre look.
If gloss is your thing, then three shades of Gloss d’Enfer Maxi Shine (£24) will be on your wishlist, This lovely metallic gloss lights up lips. It’s available in three shades – Electric Red, Electric Pink and Electric Copper, all limited editions.
The Electric Look Palette (£64) is stunning. The compact is a sleek black lacquered style, and it houses two frosted silver and icy gold highlighters with a creamy powder finish, and eight eyeshadows that can be worn wet or dry. They are a mix of matte and metallic.
To complete the collection there’s the Electric Pearl Meteorites powder pearls (£44) – a Guerlain classic. A host of golden, copper, white gold and champagne pearls to brighten, warm up and illuminate the complexion for a four-dimensional glow.
And finally, Terracotta Electric Light highlighter (£41) with tiny golden pearlisers. The golden compact is refillable, and it can also be used as a jewellery box. Lovely!
