Tata Harper Skincare
It’s always great to find a new beauty line I’ve never seen before, and even nicer to find one that is natural. USA brand Tata Harper is a 100% natural and non-toxic brand, created by Tata when her stepfather had cancer and she started to really look at what was in products.
The first thing that struck me about the two Tata Harper products I’ve had a close look at was the smell. I absolutely love ‘smelly things’ but wow – these nearly damaged my nose! This mask in particular has a really strong smell, so be warned! But in a good way!
The Clarifying Mask (£68), perfect for blemish-prone skin, is a bright green mask. The bright green comes from Chlorella, a nourishing Green Algae that is rich in amino acids, vitamins, and essential fatty acids.
An Alpha Hydroxy Acid Superfruit Blend of sugar cane, orange, lemon, along with Sugar Maple, provides exfoliation to help smooth skin texture and mask the appearance of blemishes and breakouts.
There’s a natural Salicylic Acid trio of white willow bark, wintergreen extract, and meadowsweet to help balance sebum and control excess oiliness on the surface of the skin. Raw Honey Enzymes clarify the skin by preventing surface buildup, and help your pores appear clear and clean. And then a soothing Super Seed Blend of tazman pepper, sandalwood seed oil, and apple seed oil help soothe the skin and calm the appearance of redness.
Finally Quartz Sand Micro-crystals provide the physical exfoliation during mask removal to soften the skin.
The other product I’ve been sniffing – and trying – is the Tata Harper Beautifying Face Oil (£54). I love a face oil, but I have had some issues in the past with oils that have been too heavy for my skin, and many of those were the more natural brands, jam-packed full of natural beauty goodness, but just too much for me.
This one is really lightweight, that is what struck me first. It absorbs quickly, and it feels silky soft. The skin feels brighter and firmer. It contains Brown Algae Extract to help reduce the appearance of dullness and fatigue. Camellia Flower Oil works to moisturise the skin with essential fatty acids. It smells delicious too, thanks to jasmine.
So, you can apply this in the morning and at night, and you can mix it with a few drops of serum for added moisture.
