Elemis Superfood Facial Oil

Elemis launched their Superfood Facial Oil recently – packed full of nine oils with skincare benefits.

It’s safe to say that facial oils are a bit of a beauty norm these days – so, any new oil on the market has to offer something that little bit different.

Elemis’s Superfood Facial Oil is all about feeding the skin, with the idea that anything good for the body, is good for the skin.

NEW Elemis Superfood Facial Oil

The first of the nine oils in this packed little bottle is Broccoli Seed Oil. High in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and packed with other nutrients, Broccoli Seed Oil nourishes the skin.

Flax Seed Oil has a very high Omega-3 content, helping reduce skin redness, and also helps seal in moisture. Poppy Seed Oil helps soothe, moisturise and nourish, thanks to its high linoleic and oleic acid content.

Cucumber Oil is rich in Omega-6, fatty acids, Vitamins B1 and C, and tocopherols, and helps retain moisture and soothe the skin. Macadamia Oil is abundant in Omegas 3, 6, and 7 as well as oleic acid. This oil has a rich, cushiony feel and helps with skin radiance.

Rice Bran Oil is naturally rich in Vitamin E, and has a high oxidative stability whilst nourishing the skin to leave it soft and supple. Daikon Radish Oil helps to reach the lower layers of the epidermis thanks to a delicate slip, and good absorption.

Meadowfoam Seed Oil uses its long chain fatty acid structure to provide a luxurious skin feel. It helps to lock in skin’ natural moisture to help prevent dryness.

Rosehip Seed Oil is an excellent source of fatty acids, helping to maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

Phew! That’s some list. With all of those ingredients, and the science and expertise behind every Elemis formula, it’s fair to say this oil is a winner! It’s a brilliant nutritional boost for stressed and dull skin, thanks to its superfoods, minerals and trace elements. Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc, Vitamin A and E form a ‘mineral army’ to jump-start tired skin.

Elemis suggest that you massage 3-4 drops over your face, before your usual moisturiser, or alone. It feels rich and luxurious on the skin, and I felt that it enhanced my normal moisturiser, helping it go on better. I could feel this oil in my skin, if that makes sense.
