Clarins new Everlasting Foundation + SPF15

A new foundation for a new year! And a proper foundation. I am a bit of a BB or tinted moisturiser fan, but sometimes, in the winter in particular, I want something with more coverage.  I’ve had a few breakouts of late, and I am not feeling so skin-confident as I am sometimes, so I felt the need for a proper foundation. Clarins has reinforced the formula of its best-selling long-hold foundation to deliver better results, and flawless coverage.

The new Clarins Everlasting Foundation + SPF15 uses a “High Fidelity System”, which is an invisible microfilm of new generation silicones, 100% natural Hectorite powders. The silicones bond with the skin’s own hydrolipidic film and the hectorite controls shine. So, what does this actually mean? Well, it’s a very matte, I would say medium to full coverage foundation, that really does last the whole day long.

Finely ground bamboo powder has mattifying properties, and minimizes the appearance of dark spots, imperfections and redness. I love my skin with this foundation on. Yes, it is quite full coverage, but it’s light and doesn’t feel like a thick foundation at all. It’s enriched with organic quinoa seed extract which helps to reinforce the skin barrier, meaning that skin maintains its supple and hydrated appearance. It also has 100% mineral anti-UVA/UVB benefits, and comes in a range of colours – 10 in total – from Porcelain to Cappuccino.

I really love this foundation – it’s not drying, it isn’t cakey, it smells brilliant, and it feels smooth and lasts all day long.
