Overnight beauty

The clocks go back this weekend, so that means another hour of beauty sleep! Yay! But no point in that if you don’t have the right products, is there? So, here are a few of my favourite nighttime beauty products, from creams to balms, to serums and my favourite foot cream! Photographed by my bed! That’s a great tip, to remember to use them, keep them by your bed!

I use about three to four night time products. Whilst asleep, beauty products can get to work on your skin, hydrating, targeting specific concerns, detoxifying, and nourishing. I’ve been using Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (9.) £49 30ml, £69 50ml, £82 75ml,  for a good few years now, and I can’t get enough of it.

It’s a serum filled with Hyaluronic Acid to give excellent overnight hydration and repair to the skin. Team it with Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum (10.), £46, which renews the look of past eye damage. it works on fine lines, puffiness, dark circles, and more. It gets rave reviews on the Lauder website, and I do love it as well.

These are serums, so should, as in daytime skincare routines, be followed with creams. I have to say that I do miss out the eye cream at night, but I am a religious user of Clarins Extra-Firming Night Cream (12.), £53.

It comes in two formulas, for dry skin or normal skin. During the winter, I do prefer the dry skin version, to give me that richness at night that my skin needs.I love this cream. Marks and Spencer’s Formula Advanced range have a Super Peptides Firm& Lift Night Cream (1.), £16, which works overnight to firm the skin – what’s not to love? M&S Formula Age repair Overnight Facial Oil (11.), £10.50, is heavy on the Vitamin A which is proven to deal with fine lines. Excellent.

Caudalie has two new overnight oils on the market. Overnight Recovery Oil (6.), £26, combines rose, sesame, jojoba, grape seed and palmarosa oils to nourish dry and sensitive skin. Great in winter, brilliant on long flights.Use six drops every night.

Mix 20 drops with a face mask for extra nourishment. Detoxifying Oil (7.), £29, blends sweet almond, sandalwood, orange blossom, lavender, and more to give your skin a detoxifying boost. Perfect for smokers, bringing back your radiance. Mix 10 drops of this with your mask for extra care.

Estee Lauder’s new Enlighten Range is great.I’ve been using the serum and cream now for over a month and my spots of hyperpigmentation on my face are disappearing. I am amazed at the results.

The Estee Lauder Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum (3.) £50 30ml, £70 50ml, should be used every night on areas of concern, followed by the Estee Lauder Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Creme (2.),£46, which can also be used in the morning.

Last year I tried Sisley’s Botanical D-Tox detoxifying night treatment (8.), £138, which you will find under the men’s section on the Sisley website.

It’s a month-long boost for your skin, full of plant extracts to give you a cellular detox, stimulate your skin’s natural defences against stress and boost, brighten and reduce fatigue in your skin. You apply every night for a month. I loved it, fresh and invigorating, and my partner used it too! Each bottle has two month’s worth, or enough for one month for a couple!

Treat feet at night with the lovely Marks and Spencer Ragdale Hall Foot Cream (4.), £6, with lovely lavender, clary sage, geranium and bois de rose.

Night-time is the perfect time to treat your feet! Finally, Badger Sleep Balm (5.), £4.99, a little tin of 100% natural ingredients like lavender and bergamot to help with a sleep routine. Apply to your temples before you sleep.

And relax! Don’t forget the clocks go back one hour this Saturday night/Sunday morning!
