Dr Hauschka Summer Makeup

The little independent chemist round the corner from me stocks Dr Hauschka, and every time I am in waiting for a prescription, I have a sniff and a try of the lovely creams and lotions. Recently, I noticed they also stock Dr Hauschka makeup. I have to confess, I didn’t know there was such a thing!

But there is, and for summer 2014 they have a cute little collection out called the Chorus Collection. It’s small and simple. Six playful colours that rise and fall, forming the visible rhythm in nature’s great concert – so say Dr Hauschka. Conscious shades that bind together in a harmonious chorus, they add.

There are just a few products in this range – at the heart of it the Matte & Shimmer Blush Trio (£29), which features three shades – Confident Berry, Ecstatic Pink and Magic Sandstone. It’s a lovely, easy to use trio, which adds a playful hint of fresh colour for the summer.

There are two Eyeshadow Duos (£25) in Daring Green and Passionate Violet and Ecstatic Pink and Melancholic Blue. These lovely shadows are made with organic silk and give a lovely colour, and go on so smoothly. There is also a Kajal Eyeline (£14.50) in a taupe shade to complement.

For lips, there is a Lip Gloss (£15.20) and a Lipstick (20) in Golden Apricot – a lovely warming neutral shade.

It’s all perhaps a little bit too subtle for me, but if you love Dr Hauschka, and you’re not familiar with the makeup range, have a look. The quality of the products is great.
