Envy those lips with Estee Lauder!
It’s Valentine’s Day! Hot date? Out on the pull? Lips conditioned and ready for some kissing? Better get a hot lipstick on as well then! And that’s where Estee Lauder’s new Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick comes in.
More modern than any Lauder packaging I’ve seen, this new lipstick range is one to, well, envy, if you’re Lauder’s competitiors! It has everything you need – great formula, great packaging and a gorgeous – and varied – colour palette.
There are 20 shades, over four colour groups – Nudes to Browns, Plums to Berries, Corals to Reds and Mauves to Plums. These lipsticks are super-moisturising, highly pigmented, and they promise true colour for up to six hours. I have to say that I did experience a less than six-hour performance from the red shade, Vengeful Red, which I tested last month. I would say it lasted about four hours at a party, where I was drinking and eating.
It does feel absolutely lovely on – richly hydrating, and the colour is bold. I’ve seen four shades up close – as well as Vengeful Red, Red Ego, Irresistible and Tumultuous Pink. All of them give lovely colour coverage. I would post photos but I seem to have deleted the ones I took! I will re-do and add to the post soon!
The packaging is modern, and although I am a fan of the more traditional old-school Estee Lauder Signature lipsticks packaging (being a retro fan!), this new design is sleek and modern, very weighty, and still Lauder’s navy and gold signature colours. The packaging also employs an innovative, magnetic closure which is superb.
If you haven’t discovered them yet they’re on counter now, priced £24 each, available at Estee Lauder locations, and esteelauder.co.uk
