Michael Kors Beauty Collection
Michael Kors Very Hollywood is one of my ‘guilty pleasures’ perfumes! I love the bottle, and the sweet, sweet, jasmine based scent. It’s also very ‘bling’ – not really my thing, but I do love it. I also remember buying his amazing Leg Shine product on a trip to New York, from Sak’s Fifth Avenue, and feeling uber-glam with it on my legs!
So, I was thrilled to try his new range of fragrances, which are at the heart of his new Michael Kors Beauty Collection. This landed in House of Frasers stores earlier this autumn, and if you love gold packaging, glam makeup and fragrances, then its for you.
There are three makeup collections – Sporty, Sexy and Glam. Each is based around a fragrance – Sporty Citrus, Sexy Amber, and Glam Jasmine – the latter is my favourite, probably the nearest to Very Hollywood, with Michael’s beloved jasmine note.
The Sporty makeup collection is full of gorgeous creamy nudes, a naturally glowing bronzer, and muted nails.
Sexy is all about the reds – red nails, red lips and a bronzing powder to give you that healthy glow.
Glam is on-trend for this season with deep plum and berry tones, and a deep coppery bronzing powder.
Each collection consists of two Lip Lacquer lipsticks (£23), two Lip Luster glosses (£21), two Nail Lacquers (£15), and a Bronzing Powder (£34).
And if that’s not enough, there is also a Body Care Collection which includes a Liquid Shimmer Dry Oil Spray (£39), Body Creme (£39) and the most amazing, vintage style Shimmer Bath Beads (£31) and of course, a tanning collection, which has Liquitan Self Tanner (£18), as well as After Sun Gelee (£18) and an After Sun Lip Balm (£20).
