Kiko Milano Make Up

There are SO many beauty and makeup brands out there, it’s really hard to keep up. I was reminded of KIKO Milano Makeup recently when a press releases and samples landed on my desk. I’ve seen it before, because I have family who live in Milan, and I always love to look at local beauty brands when I am abroad.

Kiko Milano Make Up

Kiko is sort of mid-price range – similar to Revlon and L’Oreal Paris, I guess –  and has some interesting products, particularly in this new Dark Heroine collection, for winter. It’s a dark, yet bold collection, with bright colours, bronzers and highlighters and really cool Latex Like Lipsticks, which have a really velvety, rich texture.

The Loud Night Bronzer has three tones, and is really pretty, the Velvet Stick Blush is a great, easy-to-use product – enriched with anti-oxidants and light oils, it goes on easily, and leaves a natural glow. The Dazzling Highlighter is in the same format – and you can highlight cheekbones, eyebrow arch, deollete – anywhere with just a sweep of this.

Kiko lipstickThe Latex Like Lipstick is lovely – an innovative mix of oils and waxes with different melting points to give the perfect balance between application and adherence of colour.

They contain orchid and lavender extracts to comfort and moisturise the lips. There are six shades to choose from.

For the eyes, there eyeshadow palettes in four shades, with excellent bold colours, and the pigment is pretty good in these, as well as a range of soft eye pencils which live up to the hype – they go on easy and they don’t smudge easy.

The Smoky Look Eyeshadow is a pencil that is SO easy to use – you just glide it on, and blend it with the sponge Kiko milano eyessmudger, and once fixed the colour is bright and intense.

You can use these as a thick, messy eyeliner as well. The blue is a brilliant shade!

I’ve not tried the Laser Nail Lacquer – but the colours look fantastic – the new AW13 shades have reflecting pearlst o create a sort ot tone on tone reflection in them.

It’s not available that easily, which is the only issue, but they do have a comprehensive website, with all of their products on it, a lot of information about the company, and the location of their two KIKO stores in London.

I’m not sure if there are plans for any other stores in the UK, and they don’t seem to be going to sell in any other locations, which is a shame. But if you want to discover a new brand, then have a browse on their website, they’re worth a look.

KIKO Makeup Milano Fall Collection, Dark Heroine, is available at KIKO stores and kikocosmetics.com, prices from £4.90 to £16.90
