Melvita launch Rose BB cream

Melvita Rose Nectar BB creamMelvita have lots of fab launches this year – much to do with their 30th anniversary, no doubt. If you haven’t discovered Melvita yet, then please do – they are a lovely organic French brand, kind to the skin, and full of fab, innovative and interesting mid-priced products.

They are late to the BB Cream party,  but this one is well worth the wait. Their Rose Nectar BB Cream SPF15 is the latest addition to their award-winning Rose Nectar range. It’s very light, and does what all BB Creams do – cover imperfections, moisturise, and allow your skin to breathe, with just a hint of coverage.

It has a natural mineral SPF15 so protects against UV rays, and utilise the Rose Nectar triple-action solution to provide, retain and substitute moisture in the skin with a formulation of rose flower water, fresh rose extract and wild rose petals. Organic mountain roses formulated with natural mineral filters and pigments create a ‘nude’ shade which adapts top your skin type. So, this is one shade suits all. I’m sure that will not necessarily be the case for all skintones, but it works okay for me. The coverage in this product is minimal, it has to be said. It feels lovely on, and it smells delightful if you are a rose fan.

It contains no silicones or chemical filters, and it also contains Yogurtene which encourages and stimulates the activity of bacteria saphrodytes – that’s the good bacteria. This BB Cream will be perfect for even the most sensitive skins, and if you are looking for a hydrating range, you could do worse than check out the rest of the rose nectar range which includes cleansers, masks, night creams, moisturisers, and Micellar water.

Melvita Rose Nectar BB Cream, available from September, £25, from melvita.co.uk, Wholefoods, and selected John Lewis stores.
