Heavy Petals from Estee Lauder

1 min read

I am loving anything with a ‘spring feel’ to it at the moment, to help me get through January. So, when I saw these gorgeous new nail polish shades from Estee Lauder I threw out my glitter polish, banished the dark reds, and embraced spring pastels in all their glory. These are called ‘Heavy Petals; and are a sort of twisted floral collection…with names like Absinthe, Dilettante, Narcissist, Lilac Leather and Coral Cult.

Created by, who else, but Creative Makeup Director, Tom Pecheux, this collection is a “profusion of pastels inspired by the playful mood and kaleidoscope of colour that emerges from the city of Paris as it blossoms to life in Spring” to quote Lauder.

Tom himself says: “In nail there is a lot of fantasy and colour and nothing is more rich in colour and sensation than Paris in Spring. For this collection, I thought of amazing bouquets from the flower markets, the pretty pastels of children’s carousels and the pops of colour from macarons.”

So, if you want to imagine Paris in the springtime, then paint your nails in one of these playful shades.

Pure Color Nail Lacquer Heavy Petals Collection, £14.50 each, available now, at Estee Lauder locations, and esteelauder.co.uk for a limited time.
