James Bond beauty!
So, there’s a new James Bond movie out next month. Skyfall stars Daniel Craig as 007 once again, and with it will come the usual hype, and Bond-mania and memorabilia.
I’ve never been a big Bond fan – bit too dated or action-packed for me! So, I’m going to be hiding the remote from my other half when Sky 007 Channel launches in October. But, I do love this new 007 fragrance which is available now, with a clever gadget of a cap, of course.
Launched exclusively in Harrods on August 15, demand was immense and over the Bank Holiday weekend it completely sold out, selling a staggering one every four minutes!
The good news is that it is available nationwide now, so 007 wannabees the country over can embrace it! It’s actually a really nice fragrance.
It leads with vetyver, a gorgeous staple for men’s scents, which we adore. There’s a hint of lavender, and crisp apple, the quintessentially British ingredient known for its fresh flavour, which reflects the smooth side of Bond. Warm woods with a musky aspect make up the full bodied essence, creating the fragrance’s long lasting and powerfully masculine qualities.
Of course it’s masculine, how could it be anything else?!The fragrance is in two sizes – £32 (75ml) and £42 (125ml)
And for the ladies, or wannabe Bond girls,there’s this amazing lipstick from Japanese brand Kanebo, which retails at a whopping £40, but is the actual shade Naomi Donne, Head Makeup Artist on Skyfall, used on Bond girls Naomie Harris, Tonia Sotiropoulou and Berenice Marlohe.
Red lipstick shade 09 Tsuyabeni of Sensai The Lipstick by Kanebo is a bold, bright red, with anti-ageing properties, and actual gold and silk in the formula.
It would have to be at this price! It comes in a gold case, with a lovely little velvet pouch, and it is lovely to wear – really rich, creamy, soft and pigment heavy. This is not a red for the faint-hearted, or the beginner – this is a full-on red.
