Beauty Bargain of the Week - Nivea Cellulite range

2 min read

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

Okay, this isn’t under a fiver. If you buy both of these it will set you back around £22, but that’s really not a lot for anti-cellulite treatments, and I really like Nivea’s body-care products. I use a firming body oil (see, I told you I loved body oils!) at the moment, and it’s really good – I feel a difference in my skin tone and dryness.

Of course, I am very sceptical about any miracle anti-cellulite products. I don’t really think the ‘dimpling’ caused by fat build-up can be beaten. But, that doesn’t mean you should just ignore it. There’s no harm in using something, and we really should be using body products as often as we use facial skincare.

The two new products from Nivea combine the powerful coenzyme Q10 to L-carnitine, which is a so-called fat-burning protein,  to target cellulite. The first is the Q10 Plus Firming Cellulite Serum (£11.18), which claims to show results in just 10 days. It contains Q10 Plus, a powerful anti-oxidant that is naturally found within the skin and supports cell regeneration. The serum also contains natural lotus extract, and has a high concentration of L-carnitine, which work together.

The serum is a ‘quick fix’ product, but for longer-term cellulite care, try the Q10 Plus Firming Cellulite Gel-Cream (£10.99). It is a fast-absorbing light gel-cream, with all the same ingredients. You don’t need to massage it into target areas, just use it every day, all year round.

It’s a good idea to get into the habit of using some form of body oil or moisturiser, so why not use one with added active ingredients and therefore, added benefits?

Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Cellulite Serum and Gel-Cream, both available now, at Boots and Superdrug and some independent chemists. Find out more at the Nivea Facebook Page
