Beat the stress with Aveda
Ah, the world we live in – it’s a stressful one, no?! We all feel it from time to time, sometimes it’s serious, sometimes it happens over silly things – like me, this morning stressing over my iCloud set-up (let’s not even go there!) until I had to take time away from the computer!
There have always been remedies for stress in terms of essential oils, etc, but the new Aveda Stress-Fix range is the first I’ve seen from a beauty company that is specifically targeting the condition.
It’s an Eco-Cert certified organic range, and is manufactured at Aveda’s corporate headquarters in Blaine, Minnesota. It contains three products – Stress-Fix Body Lotion (£27), Stress-Fix Soaking Salts (£29) and Stress-Fix Pure-Fume Rollerball (£21).
The Soaking Salts and Body Lotion both contain an aroma proven to relieve feelings of stress. Lying in a bath is de-stressing anyway, don’t you think? So this just gives you a little extra help!
The Pure-Fume Rollerball is great – you can just glide it over the body anytime you want to reduce the feeling of stress, but don’t put it on your face.
The ‘stress-relieving aroma’ was created working in collaboration with world-renowned Clinical Aromaologist, Pierre Franchomee, and used the likes of organic lavender, lavandin, and clary sage. It smell gorgeous…perfect for de-stressing!
And, if you find the home de-stress isn’t enough, then you can book into an Aveda Salon or Spa and treat yourself to the Stress-Fix Body Massage (£89) which combines Swedish massage and deep tissue techniques. it’s deigned to reduce muscular tension and increase circulation in high stress areas of the body, incorporating a foot reflexology treatment and acupressure points.
