Zandra Rhodes rocks Paris!

1 min read

I love Zandra Rhodes. Anyone who has pink hair in their 70s is okay by me! This week she showed a special Retrospective collection at Paris Fashion Week – and I managed to get some of the goss on the makeup looks, created by Andrew Gallimore. Gallimore created a look for each outfit, from the original looks.

M.A.C Senior Artist, Pablo Rodriguez, worked on the show.

“For the Zandra Rhodes retrospective show in Paris, Andrew Gallimore recreated all the original makeup looks from her shows through the decades,” Pablo explained. “Each artist was given an original photograph, and had to replicate the look. There were many costume made eyebrows, constructed with Swarovski crystals and glitter. The key products were M.A.C Paintsticks in a selection of different colours, M.A.C Acrylic Paints and M.A.C neon pigments. Most of the models had M.A.C Face & Body Foundation in White on the skin, to make them look naturally pale.”

The result was stunning. Check out this brilliant blog, Fred Butler Style for images, and more information on the retrospective.

And check out maccosmetics.co.uk and have a go recreating something wacky and wild this weekend! Bring out the Zandra in you!
