Beauty Bargain of The Week - NYC Cosmetics

We can all spend a fortune on beauty products, but we don’t need to. Every week, I’m going to bring you my ‘Beauty Bargain of the Week‘  – a product I’ve used, and would recommend, and that, on most occasions, costs less than a fiver! What’s not to like!

I was clearing out some stuff in my beauty cupboard the other day and I came across an envelope of NYC Cosmetics. I decided to have a play with them, to see what they were like, and was pleasantly surprised by their eyeshadow, mascara and glitter eyeliners – which are all under a fiver.

I used the Color Instinct Eyeshadow Palette (£3.49) in Rooftop Cocktails – brilliant name – which is a lovely mix of blue, aqua, purple and silver. Okay, you had to put a bit on the applicator, but it went on well and it lasted a good few hours. I also used the Showtime Glitter Eyeliner (£1.99) in Stardust Turquoise under my eyes, and it was really soft and creamy – excellent for the price.

I also tried out the Big Bold Mascara (£3.99) which promises to pump your lashes up, and guess what? It did. I really liked this for a cheap mascara. Yes, it felt a bit more ‘watery’ than other expensive brands, but I liked it, and the Extra Black shade is just that.
