A small cleanse...

If you know me, read this blog, or my own blog, then you will know that I LOVE Emma Hardie’s Amazing Face Moringa Balm Cleanser. I adore it. It’s changed my life, and I really mean that! I was a baby-wipe girl for years, until I discovered this product.

However, sometimes, as my mum says, a change is as good as a rest, so I agreed to give Darphin’s Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood a go. It’s been repackaged into a smaller size, a more useable 40ml, than the previous huge pot.

I do love Darphin products, and I love cleansing balms, so what could go wrong?

Well nothing really apart from the fact that I can’t use this on my eyes.

That’s where it falls down, and it’s a big fall down for me, because I am essentially a lazy cleanser, but won’t be if you are happy to use another eye makeup remover.

The beauty of Emma Hardie’s balm is that you can sweep it all over your face and eyes, and it removes every last trace of makeup, with no stinging. I tried to do that with this. My advice to you is DON’T!

As a cleanser however, it is lovely. You warm it in your hands, inhale deeply and apply to your face. Massage it in, and then add a little water so it becomes a light-milky emulsion, massage some more, and then rinse.

It contains gorgeous Rosewood oil to help keep your skin soft and refreshed, and Marula oil from Central Africa which the native women have been known to use to cleanse themselves with instead of water.

It’s brilliant in the shower in the morning (when I have no eye makeup to get rid of).
