Orangutan Orange!

OK, this post is a little bit left-field, but I adore orangutans and their plight should be better known! That’s why I support Orangutan Caring Week, which we are in the middle of right now. This worldwide campaign aims to help this beautiful, endangered species, which shares nearly 97% of their genetic material with humans. In Malay orang means “person” and utan is derived from hutan, which means “forest.” Orangutan literally means ‘person of the forest’.
Unfortunately, deforestation in Indonesia and Malaysia is threatening their home, and therefore their existence.
So, this week you can help by donating to their charity, and you can do that by just donating, or maybe wearing orange and getting sponsors, or wearing orange makeup and spreading the word when people notice and comment on your bold orange lips and nails!
