5PM Spa and Beauty Big Deals
Finally! January is over. And we’ve been paid! Time to treat yourself – but no need to splash out too much with some brilliant Big Deals on the 5pm Spa and Beauty site.
There are so many to choose from, but I’ve picked out five good ones to get you started. Most of them can be taken until around the end of March – a perfect pre-spring treat.
First up, the Spa Experience + 2 Course Lunch for Two at Portavadie, Loch Fyne. You can use this until March 29, but you must make your booking by March 15. The deal is for Monday to Friday use, is £69, and includes a spa experience for two, a two course lunch, an full use of the facilities. The deal doesn’t include treatments, but if you pre-book, you get 10 per cent off.
Lunch is a main course, dessert and soft drink, and you can choose between a 12” pizza, bento box or super food salads. Dessert is two scoops of Portavadie’s freshly churned ice cream. The spa facilities include a hydro pool, a sauna, steam room and relaxation space,and Scotland’s largest heated outdoor infinity pool.
Valentine’s Day is coming up, so maybe the Couple’s Massage Experience at The Spa at 200 SVS would be fun? For £65 you both get a half-hour massage, anda glass of fizz. Perfect combo! Choose from one of two massages:
Relaxation massage to help de-stress and loosen muscles. The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles, performed at chosen pressure, or Deep tissue, which is similar to Swedish massage but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia – the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints.
You can take the deal six days a week, but you will have to pay a £5 supplement per person for Friday & Saturday bookings, which you pay directly to the spa. Do note that the massages are taken in separate rooms, but you will enjoy your glass of fizz together.
If you decide to choose the Big Deal from Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa, which includes a luxurious Rasul Thermal Mud Treatment for two, light lunch and access to the health club, then you do get to share a room for the treatment – and apply the mud to each other!
Set in a traditional Scottish manor house and surrounded by landscaped gardens, Macdonald Inchyra is a 4-star spa hotel on the outskirts of Falkirk. As well as the mud treatment, you get a light lunch and full use of the leisure facilities.
There are two options in this deal – option one is Monday to Thursday, and costs £55 and option two is for Friday and Sunday bookings, and is £60.
Once your mud is applied, you can sit back and relax in wafts of aromatic heat and steam that will help exfoliate your skin. Soothing water than flows into the chamber to soften the mud. Your skin will feel softer and smoother after the experience.
After a soup and sandwich lunch, you can use the facilities which include a 20-metre swimming pool, high-spec Life Fitness equipment, rock sauna, ice fountain and massage shower.
The Big Deal for the Spa Day in Dunkled House Hotel is a brilliant deal for £59 per person or £109 for two. You get a choice of two treatments, a two-course lunch and a glass of fizz, and use of the facilities in the lovely Perthshire hotel.
The treatments available for selection as part of the spa day include an express facial, an express back, neck and shoulder massage, a body scrub and a file and polish on fingers or toes.
The facilities include a heated indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room and a whirlpool spa. The floor to ceiling windows in the spa look out over the Craigvinean Hills.Blissful!
In the Borders, the Big Deal is for a Spa Day with treatment and Prosecco for two at the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel. You get a spa day with a treatment, a glass of fizz, use of the leisure facilities, and a whole lot of relaxation! It’s £89 but there is a £20 supplement for Friday to Sunday bookings.
The treatment is an Elemis Couture Touch – a spa therapy designed to condition your skin and muscles with an all-embracing experience. It is a combination of your choice of any 25-minute Elemis hands-on touch facial with a personalised freestyle deep tissue massage, helping you to unwind from head to toe. Guests will also get a 20 per cent discount on any extra treatments as well as a £5 voucher to spend in the health club shop.
