We’re all about the body in January, right? Gym memberships renewed, trainers on for running, and diets started. But how about focusing on something else?

Maybe your hands? I was gifted some absolutely gorgeous new organic liquid hand soaps before Christmas, and I don’t think I’ve ever washed my hands as much!

Alteya Organics Liquid Soaps are certified organic, made with botanical extracts and pure essential oils. You can use them on face and body, and there are five scents to choose from. I was sent Citrus + Mint, Lavender + Aloe, and Geranium Rose. The latter is absolutely gorgeous! The other two scents are Grapefruit + Orange, and Chamomile + Calendula. The soaps are so gentle – skin is super-soft after using them.

Take some time out this January, and pamper your hands a little bit more with a manicure. There are loads to choose from at 5pm Spa and Beauty – here’s just a few of them.

At I Love Nails in Finnieston you can book in for a Luxury Manicure for £20, from Monday to Saturday. Your nails and hands will never look or feel better. First, your nails will be soaked, filed and shaped. Next, it’s cuticle work, then scrub, then a hand mask and a hand massage, before the application of nail polish. If you want to add Shellac to this, the deal is £28.

At Valocha Beauty Salon in East Kilbride, you can book a Luxury Manicure for £25, available all week. They have loads of colours to choose from, so whilst your hands are being pampered you can think about which shade will suit your January blues!
At Bloom Aveda Lifestyle Salon – which was formerly James Dun’s House  – a Vinylux Polish Deluxe Manicure is £28, instead of £41. It includes an exfoliation scrub, a tidy up of the cuticles, a massage, and a file and polish. The offer is available to take Monday to Friday.

At Studio 52 in Rutherglen, there’s a deal for a 30-minute Manicure, for just £15 – normal price £22. This deal is only available on Friday and Saturday.

 If it’s a speedy manicure you’re looking for then head to Avish Nail & Beauty Salon in the Savoy Centre in Glasgow for an £8 manicure with no frills. It will take 15 minutes, and you can pop in Monday to Saturday.
