Make a date to exfoliate!

3 min read

Exfoliation is key to good skin. You have to sometimes slough off those dead skin cells to let the new ones shine through. I find it particularly helpful at a few different times of the year – as spring appears, before summer holidays, at the end of summer, and in the middle of winter.

Exfoliating face and body is key to maintaining healthy skin. Clarins launched three new classic style exfoliators last month – their new Face Scrubs.

The range is infused with plant-enriched formulas, using natural beads from either wood cellulose, lava or sugar from beetroot to refresh, purify or nourish the skin.

There are three scrubs – Fresh, Comfort, and Pure.

Fresh Scrub is a cream scrub for thirsty, dehydrated skin. It’s a cream-gel formula, and has two different sized natural beads made from wood cellulose – the larger ones exfoliate, the finer beads refine. It also contains organic leaf of life extract.

Comfort Scrub is a nourishing oil scrub with sugar microcrystals for dry, sensitive skin. The gel-in-oil formula transforms into a silky, milky veil upon contact with water, and the sugar microcrystals from beetroot gently remove the dead skin cells. There’s wild mango butter in there, and this mask can also be used on the lips, which is brilliant.

Pure Scrub is a purifying gel scrub with lava beads, perfect for oily, blemish-prone skin, with shine, small blemishes, or enlarged pores. It instantly purifies and tightens pores, and leaves a matte finish. The lava beads gently dislodge dead skin cells, and it deep cleanses. It contains organic alpine willow herb extract to help reduce the activity of a key enzyme involved in sebum productions.

Each of the new Clarins scrubs is £26, and available now at Clarins counters and clarins.co.uk
