Sometimes, it’s just time to treat yourself. Take five, get away from home life, and have a few hours to yourself to be pampered and feel relaxed. And with 5pm you can do that for less than £50.

In Edinburgh at The Melrose Spa at the city’s Radisson Hotel on the Royal Mile, you can be in the heart of the capital city but tucked away in your own wee world, taking advantage of the Simply Spa offer, available to use all week. It’s £49 and includes a spa pack – robe, slippers and toiletries, a spa welcome foot treatment and a choice of either a 30 minute relaxing back massage, or 30-minute Elemis taster facial. You also get to use the spa facilities which include a leisure pool a steam room, and a sauna.
Still in the capital city, the Macdonald Holyrood Spa offers a Midweek Essential Spa Day, available Monday to Friday, for £39. if you can get some time during the week to escape, this is a great deal. You get full use of the spa facilities – including a heated swimming pool – as well as your robe, slippers and fluffy towels, a £5 spa retail voucher, 20 per cent off additional pre-booked treatments, and a choice of one 25-minute treatment, wither the Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial, Pro-Collagen Age Defy Facial, or Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage.
At the Erskine Bridge Hotel & Spa, take yourself away for the Spring Spa Day (yes, it’s summer, but that’s what this day is called!), and enjoy a superb treat. You get full use of the facilities, which include a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and relaxation area, as well as a two-course light lunch with a glass of prosecco, served in the Darnley Bar. Fluffy robes, towels and slippers are provided for the day, and there is a choice of a 25-minute treatment – either an Uplifting facial, a Revitalizing Scalp massage, or a Back, Neck and Shoulder aromatherapy massage. All of this for £49.
There’s a great Big Deal on at the HiltonDoubletree Strathclyde. It’s £41, and for that, you get to use all the spa facilities, including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and gym if you so wish. You get two treatments – a back, neck and shoulder massage, and a luxurious taster facial, as well as £10 to spend on lunch or dinner in the hotel’s Space Restaurant. There is a £10 supplement per person for robe and towel hire so bear that in mind.
