Lash Love with 5pm Deals
It was National Lash Day on Tuesday (Feb 19), did you know? Not quite sure what that entailed, but let’s celebrate it a little late with some lash love.
Who doesn’t love a mascara? And maybe hate it at the same time – it can be one of the most frustrating beauty products. My current favourite is a Clinique mascara that is now discontinued, and I am at the very end of the last tube I bought on eBay. I am gutted!
These are the best-selling and buyer’s favourites at Harvey Nichols – are any of them on your loved list? I do rate Benefit’s They’re Real (£22), and I am also a fan of Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvelt Noir Major Volume Mascara (£22). Another on the list is YSL Luxurious Mascara For False Lash Effect (£26) which is another great product that I’ve not used for a while.
I can’t comment on Stila HUGE Extreme Lash Mascara (£19), Dior Plump ‘n’ Volume (£27), or NARS Climax (£21), but I am going to have to say I am not a fan of Chanel or Charlotte Tilbury mascaras. The two that made this list are Chanel Inimitable (£28), and Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes (£23). I have always found Chanel a wee bit ‘smudgy’ and I’ve only tried Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes, and to say we didn’t get on is an understatement!
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash (£25) completes the Harvey Nichols list, and I’m quite keen to try that one as well. Hourglass is a lovely, luxury brand.
If you want to really love your lashes, then maybe you want to extend them or lift them and there are loads of deals on 5pm for that.
Let’s start at About Hair + Beauty in Glasgow, where you can book in for a Lash Lift and Lash Tint on the 5pm deal – it’s £45, instead of £60.

Mairi specialises in shellac, hot wax and individual volume lashes.
You can book Full Volume Lash Extensions from Monday to Saturday with this deal for £55. The lash extensions will give you longer, thicker, natural looking lashes to enhance your eyes. They are semi-permanent and will last around 3-4 weeks, but infills are required every 2-3 weeks.
At Beauty World in Glasgow’s Southside, you can treat yourself to a lash lift which also includes an eyebrow shape, wax or tweeze. Seems like a sensible deal to me – why not get your brows sorted when you’re getting your lashes done?
Finally, back in Edinburgh, at PURE Spa + Beauty, in Lothian Road, for £40 you can get the whole Lash and Brow package. This includes eyelash extensions, eyebrow wax, and tint.
