Jo Malone London NEW Bronze Wood & Leather Cologne Intense

If you are a Jo Malone London fan, then you will already know that January means a new fragrance, in the form of a Cologne Intense.

This year, it’s Bronze Wood & Leather, which is no surprise, given the brand’s heavy focus on the more masculine side of things, with the launch of its first ever men’s collection last year.

If you like all things smoky and rich, then this is one for you. It evokes, says JML, ‘the scent of sultry leather encased in a medley of woods’.

The idea is that it’s wood, warm and bronzed by the sun’s evening rays. Obviously there is leather in there, and it’s enlivened with vibrant juniper and fresh grapefruit. There’s a twist of vetiver in there too.And the campaign images are so great, it just makes you want to dive right into this scent!

The idea is that the Cologne Intense fragrances are richly crafted, and last longer than the standard colognes. It comes in two sizes – 50ml, and 100ml.

As with all Jo Malone scents, it’s all about the fragrance combining. Combine this new scent with Wood Sage & Sea Salt, and the result will be a fresh, woody fragrance, with warming vetiver and guaiacwood , and that sea salt.

Combine it with Myrrh & Tonka, and the result will be an oriental, woody scent, enriched with deep, resinous myrrh and warmed with cashmere wood.

Finally, combine it with old favourite Pomegranate Noir, and you will create an oriental combined fragrance, which is sensual, enriched with patchouli, and guaiacwood, and deepened with the leather.
