Murad Hydro-Glow Aqua Peel Mask - Face Mask Friday

2 min read

Beauty masks are everywhere these days – so let’s trial one once a month on Fridays from now on. From sheet masks, to clay masks, to cream masks, and everything inbetween.

MURAD HYDRO-GLOW AQUA PEEL MASK, £40 FOR PACK OF FOUR

This mask is a wee bit different, as it comes in two steps. First you swipe the Retexturizing Swab over your face, and then you pop on the Moisture Infusion Mask.

The swab contains AHAs – Lactic and Glycolic Acids to exfoliate to reveal smoother, brighter skin. The sheet mask has hydrating Hyaluronic Acid to help with lines and wrinkles.

It’s really easy to use. The swab is simple, there’s no mess, and there’s no tingling.  Use it on a cleansed face, and then once you’ve swept this over, you immediately apply the sheet mask.

The sheet mask is loaded with product, and goes on easily, but ooh, it is cold on the skin! As well as the Hyaluronic Acid, it contains Aloe Extract and Vitamin B3 to soothe and nourish. It also looks quite funny, right?!

I have had a few issues with my skin of late, and I did think it soothed, and helped my fine lines under my eyes. My skin felt soft to touch, and I applied a moisturiser after using – one with sunscreen, as it is always important to use sunscreen after any product that contains AHAs. These increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and cause sunburn.

There are four masks in the box, so it’s going to cost you £40 a month if you want to use it once a week. I think I’d use this once a fortnight, which doesn’t make it seem so expensive.
