New Makeup Bag?

3 min read

Hands up who needs a new makeup bag? You’ve probably not thought about it for a while, but that mucky old thing needs replacing now! How often do we actually look inside our makeup bag to see how grubby it has become?

I know I don’t look often enough. Usually not until bits of red lip pencil, or a broken eyeshadow draw my attention to it. I also try to have a couple on rotation – one stuffed with everything, the other for taking the essentials out with me in.

I was recently gifted this lovely monogrammed one from Next. I love the pom pom. They have loads of them, and if your initial is F, I or N, your colour is a gorgeous bright summery yellow. It’s quite spacious, and fully lined, so it won’t get too grubby too soon.£8, Next

I got a jumper at Christmas that has those sequins, when you move them in the opposite direction they reveal a message or the words change. I was like a child – so impressed. So, I love this Superdrug Swipe & See cosmetic bag. It comes in four colours, and is magic! £6.99, Superdrug.

If a real pom pom is a bit much, but you like the idea of them, then this is a pretty alternative from Cath Kidston. A very stylish cosmetic bag with a pom pom dotty print. £16, Cath Kidston

Cacti are everywhere, so why not on your cosmetic bag? This is from dotcomgiftshop.com. It’s a great shape, very sturdy and will hold lots of beauty essentials and more. £7.95, dotcomgiftshop.com

If you are looking for something a little more sophisticated then this leather turquoise bag from Autograph at Marks and Spencer might fit the bill. It has a matching washbag too, and there are other shades to choose from. £15, Marks and Spencer

Finally, I really love this camouflaged zebra print makeup bag from Paperchase. Maybe not where you’d think of picking a makeup bag up, but they have lots of them in all sorts of prints. £8, Paperchase
