NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments

MORE MATTE LIQUID LIPS! They are everywhere this season. This is the AW of the matte lip – and if it’s liquid, even better. This NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment is very liquid – so much so it almost drips off the applicator.

So, this stuff is infused with something NARS are calling ‘Fluid Pigment Complex’, giving the a super-saturated liquid pigment. I have to say they feel NOTHING like a matte lip. They are excellent – they last a long time, you can use liner with them if you like, and you will not know you still have it on until you look in the mirror!

The wand is an exclusive cushion-tip, and it has a point, so you can really line the lips well with it.

They come in 20 shades  from nude, right through to black. All of the shades are named after 1970s songs, but ‘Save The Queen’?! Really?! Why would you include this, if you had to drop the God? Daft.

The shades are Get It On, Slow Ride, Just What I Needed, Walk This Way, American Woman, Save The Queen, Low Rider, Light My Fire, Don’t Stop, Starwoman, Just Push Play, Get Up Stand Up, Under My Thumb, Give It Up, Warm Leatherette, London Calling, Wild Night, Rock With You, Done It Again, and Paint It Black

I have tried a red – Starwoman – but I really want to try Don’t Stop, which seems a brighter, less blue red. I also have Paint It Black, which is, well, black! Not for me, but brilliant idea, brilliant name. Just What I Needed, and Just Push Play are online exclusives.
