Make a Statement (Lip) with Bare Minerals
YAY! I love a statement lip. I love red, orange and pink, in the boldest shades possible, and that’s about it! So, this new Statement Lip collection from BareMinerals is just perfect.
This collection comes in the best pinks, reds and berries. It’s a pretty simple collection really – it consists of 25 bold shades, in three finishes.
There’s the Matte Liquid Lipcolour (£17) which isn’t as liquid as others I have tried, but does dry down to a lovely matte, and the shade I tried – Juicy – is deliciously coral/red, perfect for holidays – cannot wait to wear it then!
The other shades available in this format are Luxe, VIP (pictured), Fresh, Fire, Shameless, OMG, Naughty, Flawless and Devious. I love the look of Shameless – a bright fuchsia pink.
The Luxe-Shine Lipstick (£18) is bold, saturated colour with a high-impact shine. After matte, it’s hard to get into shine lipsticks again, but this one is a nice formula – it has moisturising botanicals. I tried Srsly Red – a very deep red – bit too blue/dark red for me. The other shades are Tease, Biba, Rebound, Flash, Elite, Hustler, Alpha, Frenchie and NSFW
Finally, there is the Under Over Lip Liner (£14) which is great. Use before lip colour to help prolong wear and prevent feathering, or use after your lipstick, to define the shape of your lip. I tried shade Wired, but it’s a bit dark for me. There is also Kiss-A-Thon, 100%, Genius and Graphic to choose from.
