Peace Love & Beach Bobbi Brown Summer

2 min read

Late last year Bobbi Brown left the company she began and was so successful at for over 25 years. It’s a real shame when the heart of a brand leaves, and it will be interesting to see where Bobbi Brown the company goes, without Bobbi at the helm.

Bobbi sold to Estee Lauder way back in 1995, but aleays retained her creative director role, and the brand stayed true to her original ethos of it being about enhancing women’s beauty, not creating new faces.

Since leaving, Bobbi has written this letter, published on Refinery 29, and it seems that some facets of the modern beauty world left her cold – contouring being one of them. Let’s hope the new Bobbi Brown, without her at the helm, don’t bring one out.

I expect it will be difficult for them to continue in the same vein, but I have had a sneak peek at launches for the rest of the year, and they look good, and as diehard Bobbi Brown fans would expect.

One of the first ones is the new Peace, Love & Beach Summer 2017 collection. Taking a cue from an idyllic seaside, the collections accents fresh radiant skin, with three palettes reflective of sparkling turquoise waters, sun drenched shorelines, and endless days at the beach.

It won’t set the heather on fire, but there are the familiar, all-important palettes at the heart of it. The collection has three Limited Edition eyeshadow palettes  – Peace, Love & Beach, with shades of summer, from warm neutrals, to sparkling aqua blues.

Nail Polish comes in Navy and Dune, and to go along with the new palettes, revist two shades of Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow and Bronze Glow.

And that’s it really. But if you are a Bobbi fan, I’m pretty sure you will love it.
