Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2017 is Greenery. Its a lovely, fresh, spring shade, and it inspired this post – exploring some Greenery Beauty.

Pantone Color of the Year Greenery

A refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings.Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. – Pantone

Okay, I’m cheating a bit – nothing shown here is the actual Pantone shade, buy you get the idea. (And none of the little leaves I crocheted to illustrate the piece are the official Greenery shade either!) Let’s start with some lovely green eye colours.

NARS Duo Eyeshadows (£25) are brilliant, and last ages. 1. is Rated R – an Electric Cobalt Blue, and the green here is a Shimmering Chartreuse. I adore this combination for bright, bold eyes. 3. is Earth Angel, a Bronze Taupe with a Muted Olive, a great colour combo for an alternative smoky eye. The shadows are highly pigmented and can be worn together or alone.

2. NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow (£21), is a gorgeous, shimmering shadow that can be used wet or dry, revealing hidden depths. This shade, Pasiphae, is burgundy with opalescent peacock. 4. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour (£23, Space NK) in Peacock is a brilliantly bold green  that is so easy to slick on for a fab pop of colour. 5. RMK Ingenious Powder Eyes N in 11 (£15, Selfridges) is a lovely shimery pastel green shade, perfect for a spring colour wash. 6. Laura Mercier Luster Eye Colour in Sherazade (£19.50, John Lewis) is a deep olive green in an iridescent frost finish.

I love the freshness of Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Special Shampoo and Conditioner (£15.75 and £16.75), thanks to a blend of tea tree, peppermint oil, and lavender. The packaging is gorgeous green too!

Origins Plantscription range is HUGE now, and I can recall when they initialy launched the first product, the serum. The latest Powerful lifting concentrate (£52) is a silky concentrate which  helps to give skin a tightened feel and sculpted look. Thanks to the  potent Anogeissus, it leaves skin feeling tighter, firmer and smoother looking in just four weeks.

Supermood is a Finnish brand, found in Space NK, and this is the Egoboost 1 Minute Facelift Serum (£59), which is infused with chaga mushroom and has anti-oxidant properties, and is also great for lifting and tightening.

Murad’s Retinol Youth Renewal Serum (£65) is a fast-acting serum, which has tri-active technology, and delivers instant results, thanks to the fast-acting retinoid, the time-released retinol, and the retinol booster – along with swertia flower extract from the Himalays, and hyaluronic acid spheres. It tackles fine lines, wrinkles and skin tone.

Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight mask (£24) is in packaging that is pretty close to Greenery, agreed? And it is one of my favourite ever beauty products. It contains plant glycerin, Hyaluronic acid, and apricot kernel oil and it is wonderful!

Bobbi Brown’s Remedies No93 Skin Fortifier (£29.50) is a gorgoeus green shade, and has Murumuru Butter, Meadowfoam seed oil, olive oil and more to strenghen the skin’s structure – in time for a new season!

Finally, REN Evercalm Global Protection day Cream (£28, Space NK) is a lovely light everyday moisturiser for those with sensitive skin. It contains Omegas 3 and 7 and caendula Oil to give moisture and nothing else. It has no parabens, no sulphates and REN are the very essence of ‘green’!
