Lipstick Queen Famous Last Words Liquid Lips

This is Poppy King’s Lipstick Queen’s first ever liquid lip – yep, I was surprised too. Liquid lips that set to matte are everywhere, and at this moment in time I am particularly in love with the Smashbox Always On version – see this post.

The Lipstick Queen collection is called Famous Last Words – and the colour names will tell you why.

Lipstick Queen See Ya Liquid LipstickSo, I was sent See Ya  – Nude – to try, and, obviously, that’s not my favourite colour at all, but I gave it a go. I only have the Smashbox to compare it to, and it’s not as good.

Lipstick Queen’s ‘Elastic Matte’ formula contains the special ingredient Sofistan 649, which enables the pigments to breathe and bend rather than crack on the lips.

The formula is Vitamin-E enriched, and it goes on smooth and wet, and dries down to a velvet matte finish. (It takes a wee while to dry down after application, which is annoying)

It still retains moisture, thanks to Olive and Jojoba oils, and I suppose that’s where it falls down a wee bit in the matte-ness, if that’s even a word!
