Shine, be gone! Clinique's new Blotting Powder

The dreaded shine. We’re not talking that dewy, luminous look we covet and try to achieve with makeup, but just that good old-fashioned shine we just seem to get – from the oil in our skin, or on thoe summer days (usually abroad!) when we heat up a little much.

But, shine, be gone, thanks to Clinique’s NEW Stay-Matte Universal Blotting Powder. I’m not sure if I need this, but if you are prone to shine, then  this ultra-fine lightweight, oil-absorbing powder is something you might want to investigate.

Optical diffusers in the formula help to minimise the appearance of fine lines and pores, as well as any visible imperfections. Through its oil absorbing ingredients, pores are refined and oil is instantly absorbed helping to extend the wear of makeup.

So, Clinique suggest that you apply this before, or after, foundation. It is really lightweight, and translucent, so appears invisible. This powder does not look cakey, even if you touch up during the day on more than one occasion.

We all get a wee bit of shine from time to time, so there’s no harm in adding this to your makeup arsenal, agreed?

It has a thin sponge for application, and is really slim, so will easily pop in your bag.
