NEW Nails at Autograph M&S beauty

2 min read

I love a new nail polish. I have literally DOZENS of bottles in a drawer, thanks to my job, of course, but even before I was a beauty writer, I was a nail polish junkie.

Of course, they don’t last forever, so you are allowed to treat yourself to a new one now and then. I also love having my nails done in a salon, but I do enjoy doing my own. When I was at beauty school (before I dropped out!), manicure was probably my favourite thing to do.

M&S Autograph has just launched a whole load of new nail shades, and new formulas. Like most brands, they now have a Gel Effect formula. Like the gel nails you get in salon, these polishes are glossy, and supposedly hard-wearing, but I’d think they were more the former than the latter.

Autograph @ M&S has three shades in this formula, a pale pink called lace, and the two I prefer, Kingfisher, a deep teal green/blue shade, and Sunset Pink, which appears more red than pink to me; whatever it’s a lovely bright colour.

The new Autograph All In One Nail Polish (with Argan Oil and Vitamin E) is great, if, like me, you, er, forget the base and top coat all the time! This has it all – in one! A base caoat, a top coat, long wear and high shine with just one sweep of the wide, flat brush. The Argan Oil and Vitamin E nourish the nails too.

There are five new spring shades in this one – Chilli, a red, Botanical, a grey, Melba Blush, a peach, and my two favourites, Spearmint, a gorgeous pastel green and Go East, a sort of rusty brown that, when I first saw it, I thought ‘Hmmm, not sure’, but when I put it on I was in love. It’s perfect with the 1970s trend, and the prairie look this spring/summer.
